​Dr. Willie Mae Hawkins is the founder of She Builds a Vineyard(TM).  Her mentoring program was inspired from her autobiography, She Builds a Vineyard: A Single Parent's Transformational Journey ,  an exemplification of struggles of a single parent who makes a stable life for herself and her son, with God on their side. It is a book of hope, faith, and transformation. "It is a book for all women!" ~noted by several readers. 

She is a inspirational speaker, consultant, certified life coach, author, TV Host and bestselling author.  Her role as a participant in transforming lives began as a trailblazer for single parent families and lecturing to leaders who are interested in leading them.  Also, she is the founder and president of Spring, Inc.- A National Single Parenting Ministry.   Spring offers mentoring, coaching, and counseling for individuals and families.  It also conducts workshops and seminars.  It provides leadership training for leaders in community organization and churches. www.spring-inc.org 

As an ordained clergy, Dr. Hawkins has served as a Regional Women’s Ministry Consultant on behalf of the national office in the United Church of Christ (UCC) in Cleveland, Ohio.  Serving over 219 churches as a liaison and resource representative, she provided spiritual support for more than 20,000 women.  She continues to offer her gifts as a speaker, lecturer, workshop/seminar presenter and mentor. Today, she continues to provide mentoring for women and teenage girls who not only seek spiritual guidance, but also seek understanding and wisdom about a variety of life issues and concerns.  

She is the bestselling author of Building a Vineyard: 7 Steps toward a Greater Purpose.  Other recent work includes hosting her TV show in Raleigh, NC called The Vineyard, promoting individuals and community organizations who strive to make the community a better place.  She has been noted in Ebony magazine and with Black Enterprise.com. Her servanthood also includes:  serving as an associate pastor at Maple Temple United Church of Christ, Raleigh, NC.;  having served as a therapist in mental health rendering counseling services to adults and children, an adjunct religion instructor, and a hospital chaplain providing pastoral care and counseling where she received three clinical pastoral education (CPE) units.  

As a voice in the 21st century, Dr. Hawkins speaks and shares insights to a variety of audiences, such as: women, singles, parents, children of single parent homes, absent parents, educators, college students, prisoners, those once incarcerated,  and community leaders.   www.DrWillieMaeHawkins.com

Her numerous membership includes: NAACP, National Council of Negro Women and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  She has earned several degrees from accredited institutions: Nash Community College (A.A.S. in Computers), Rocky Mount, NC; Barton College (B.S in Bus. Admin.), Wilson, NC; Virginia Union University (M. Div. in Theology), Richmond, VA; and Regent University (D. Min. in Leadership and Renewal), Virginia Beach, VA.  She has also studied at United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio; East Carolina University, Greenville, NC; and NC State University, Raleigh, NC.

Dr. Hawkins has one adult son, along with his two pitbulls.
